How This Works

A format is a repeatable show. A strong concept that can work season after season. We know this from experience. Hi-Low began as a concept supported by a brand integration on Donut Media's channel. It became the most successful format in Donut's history. 200 million views across four seasons. One format, built right, forever impacting pop culture.

PIXELS TO PAVEMENT

WORLD OF WARCRAFT+BIGTIME

Blizzard came to us with a brief as simple as it was unhinged: build a real, driveable World of Warcraft Goblin Car. For a video game expansion. A real car. We said yes immediately, which tells you everything about us.

We partnered BigTime with Blizzard and somehow made something that resonated across automotive fans and gaming fans simultaneously. High fives.

HIBBS SHOWS YOU HOW

MAGNOLIA NETWORK

Jason Hibbs took on his biggest build yet. And fans watched! Hibbs Shows You How ranked #8 out of more than 40 unscripted programs that premiered on Magnolia Network the same year, and hit #7 among Total Viewers on its premiere date. High fives.

UN-VARNISHED

FOUREYES FURNITURE

In Unvarnished, Chris Salomone of Foureyes Furniture examines the objects, aesthetics, and status symbols that shape modern culture, stripping away the hype to figure out what they actually mean, and whether they ever deserved our attention in the first place.

Conceived and produced by Chris and Team Effort. Currently in production. We are not going to tell you it's going to be great. It is going to be great. Coming soon: high fives.

ART OF THE STUNT

DONUT MEDIA + GENESIS

Genesis was a new entrant in the U.S. luxury market. Low awareness, a skeptical audience of car enthusiasts who will absolutely find the seam in anything. We built a four-part series on how Hollywood automotive stunts are pulled off, with the G70 at the center of it all. We brought in Robert Nagle, stunt coordinator for Baby Driver and Drive, to make sure everyone knew we weren't messing around. Enthusiasts liked it. Genesis liked it. And audiences liked it. RICO TO THE RESCUE

HGTV

A prime-time commission for one of the biggest cable networks in America. Top-5 non-news/sports cable program among P25–54 and W25–54. The #1 most co-viewed show on all of HGTV among Gen Z and Millennial audiences, which, you know, was pleasantly surprising. #20 on HBO/Max among Adults 18–49 out of 143 unscripted programs.

Rico to the Rescue on HGTV

Team Effort is Jason and Ben.

Jason spent 20 years producing premium unscripted television for the major cable networks and streaming platforms. Ben co-founded Donut Media, the #1 automotive YouTube channel in North America. One of them understands network television. One of them understands the internet. Together they have started a company, which seems like a reasonable thing to do.
